Visualizing ALPR Cameras in the Bay

This site seeks to provide transparency and visualization of ALPR cameras through the following interactive maps. Check out the maps on the following pages, and refer to the instructions below on how to navigate each type of map.

How to navigate each type of map:

1. ALPR Camera Locations (each map separated by county)
1. Use the leftmost light blue sidebar to access the “Legend” and “Layers” panels.
2. In the “Layers” panel, make sure the “ALPR Cameras” layer is always active. To compare the camera locations with other layers (ex: “Median Income”), toggle only one additional layer on at a time.
3. Use the “Legend” panel to interpret color ranges for each layer.
4. Use the “+/-” icons to zoom in or out to the map. Click and drag the map to move around.
2. ALPR Camera Story Walkthrough
1. Move down the page to progress through the walkthrough.
2. When you reach the interactive map, scroll through location points to progress; you may need to click on the next point manually to progress. Each point includes context on the location marker.
3. Use your mouse or trackpad to zoom in and out of the map. Click and drag to move around.
